Career Aspirations Day

Career Aspirations Morning

A father of one of our teachers said recently, 'I'm 76 and I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up!'

Sadly, he didn't attend St. Bede's Cathoic Junior School when he was a boy because there's no danger of that happening to our pupils! Our Year 5 children were privileged to meet with parent / carer volunteers who came in to discuss their careers - what inspired them, what they had to do to achieve their dream job and what their career entails. We had such a vast array of interesting jobs: a police officer, a paramedic, a dentist, a doctor, a physiotherapist, an engineer to mention just a few.
A huge thank you to all the parent / carers who came to talk to our children - you really did inspire them (and the staff!)
